'Bhakti', as we all know means Devotion. Some of us are inspired to seek wisdom through devotion, whereas others are naturally inclined to devotion as a spiritual path.

It's very strongly believed that not only does a devotee love its God, but the God also loves the Devotee.

Bhakti in India especially, is expressed in various ways- in songs, in temples while worshipping and in dance and plays.

Dance is also considered as one of the forms of devotion. Lord Krishna, is also known as the god that can get you 'high'. You will often see Krishna devotees dance as they sing their "Kirtans".

The Indian classical Dance form also has a hidden devotional meaning. The dancer or the devotee through its gestures and movements while dancing can also be seen creating the image of Krishna, for its audience to have a feeling of devotion.

The dancer can even become Krishna's Beloved, so that the audience can witness the inclination she has for Krishna.

You may have seen some Krishna Devotees, chanting the 'Hare Krishna' mantra, with indian instruments, or even dancing in temples wearing Indian clothing.
