Getting inked is a lifelong commitment. A mark rather imprinted on your soul than your body. It’s a big decision for your skin as well as your body. It stays with you forever, from the time you get it to your last day. It’s like a permanent companion of your journey. A few might find it scary while others might find it fascinating. Yes, it might be scary for a few and fascinating for others. Researchers have even revealed that people having tattoos are more secured in their personal and professional lives, having no fear of commitment. People having one, can relate to this quite easily.

Geometric tattoos are one of those trends, which have never faded away. With the increased influence of social media, they have rather gained popularity in the recent times. The idea of getting something meaningful, having a deeper thought to it, is what people believe in nowadays. This category of geometry is called Sacred Geometry, giving us a different connotation with its design each time. Juxtaposing the elements brings out a piece as unique and original with a significance of its own.

Sacred geometric is a psychedelic phenomenon. As we think of drug related hallucinations, swirly round trippy pattern is the first thing which crosses our mind. But mathematical trip is a common sight experienced by most of the users. It’s not just hallucinogenic, but people reported seeing such structures in near to death experience. This might come as a shock to the people who are planning to get one or who already own such design. But yes, it’s true. Unknowingly or knowingly, people have been following this trend.

Keeping all the eerie facts aside, it’s rather beautiful to have such figures on your body. They denote peace and love. One of the most common symbols of flower of life has been a symbol of Buddhism, indicating that God is the geometer of the world. In fact, they have always been used as ornamental and architectural work in various cultures. But with the wave of technology and awareness, acceptance of such symbols as body art is what the perfect example of evolution. Countless tattoo artists have specialised in this strand by adding meaning to their profession. They even claim that illustrating such designs distresses as well as makes them grow.

So the next time anybody asks you about your tattoo, you can actually enlighten them with your knowledge and thank us later. For those who are planning to get one, don’t think. Research, select your favourite design and go for it. Trust me, butterflies and wings are too passé. How about something which has deeper meaning? Why not something cool and purposeful at the same time?
